The following is a list of all entries from the Chinese category.

Clay Pot Rice

This is a HK traditional food for winter—Clay Pot Rice.

Cooking Method:

Cook the rice in the clay pot, when the rice is almost done, put the ingredients in then cover it again to let it cook.
The rice would eventually absorb all the sauce from the ingredients. YUM!

Enjoy!

My mom’s fav—Preserved duck, preserved sausage on rice.

My dad’s fav— Preserved veg pork patty on rice.

Voila, my favourite! It may sounds horrifying to you but it is actually really good!

Frog and mushroom on rice:-)
I love eating frog. It tastes just like chicken meat. And it is very low in fat, even lower than chicken.
And it is tender and juicy. lol

No body would like to share with me or when I order this. haha!
YAY, the pot is just for me.

What’s your favourite?

Steamed Red Bean Pudding (砵仔糕)

This is my childhood memeory…

It is a chinese traditional street snack.
They are in a bowl shape and come in 2 colors—brown or white.

The brown one with MANY red beans, MY FAVOURITE.
[hummm…they look like a nude bra eh?   lol]

This is a box of mixed chinese steamed pudding—black sesame, white sugar, red bean and water chestnut pudding .
I didn’t get this in Vancouver of course. I bought this last year in Sham Shui Po in Hong Kong. (from a popular chinese traditional dessert restaurant).

Ohhhh…I miss homeeeeeeeeee:-/ (not my parents, but FOOD.lol)

This is the white sugar pudding. My dad’s favourite.
